What does Accredited Provider mean and how do I become Accredited?
Accredited Provider Scheme
Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have introduced an Accredited Provider Scheme. The Council has a responsibility to People who purchase non-commissioned services through a direct payment to ensure services are safe and offer appropriate outcomes.
The Council acknowledges the positive contribution that private, voluntary and independent sector organisations make in providing services in the Borough. The aim of the Accredited Provider Scheme is to improve communication with providers and assist with improving the quality of services while offering support and advice.
Providers who are successful under the voluntary scheme will be promoted as an Accredited Provider by the Council and their information will be given to prospective customers and highlighted on the Personal Information Network (PIN).
Membership of the Accredited Provider Scheme is voluntary and will be reviewed regularly in conjunction with compliance visits.
The full list of Accredited Services in Redcar & Cleveland is available to view, print or download in PDF format under Related Links at the right of the page.
How to Gain Accreditation:
-
The organisation should complete a short business questionnaire. This can either be downloaded (see Related Links at the right of the page - bottom of page if using mobile) or by emailing socialcareprocurement-GCSx@redcar-cleveland.gcsx.gov.uk
-
Once the Council has received the completed business questionnaire a visit will be arranged to appraise your ability to meet the criteria of the scheme.
-
A successful organisation will then receive a Certificate of Accreditation and be included in Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s Provider Register.
